On June 9th, the Law, Societies, and Justice program held its annual Convocation for the 2016 graduates. For each student, a faculty member read the graduate's future plans or favorite memory in LSJ. The LSJ graduates were each invited to speak about their accomplishments and successes in the LSJ program. The reception afterwards was held in Grieg Garden where graduates celebrated with their friends and family and enjoyed refreshments.

Each year at graduation, LSJ recognizes a number of outstanding students with awards of excellence. Narmina Sharifova was awarded the Ezra Stotland Award, which honors the graduating student deemed to have demonstrated the highest level of academic performance. Moncerrad Yoselyn Leos was honored with the Citizenship Award, which recognizes an outstanding student in both academic achievement and community service. The Karin Stromberg Award for Contribution to Social Justice was awarded to Kathryn Cleo Marie Joy,  for academic achievements and commitment to the advancement of social justice.

Thank you to all the family members, friends, faculty and staff who joined us in celebrating the Class of 2016. Congratulations to the outstanding Law, Societies, and Justice graduates, and welcome to the LSJ Alumni Community!
