Catalog Description:
Examines the intertwined histories of race, law, and justice in the United States. Traces racial formation, social conflict, political intervention, and legal responses through case studies. Shows how race is socially constructed and legally defined, fluid rather than innate, used as a political tool, and consequential for social, environmental, and legal landscapes.
