THIS COURSE IS A COMMUNITY BASED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OUTDOORS FOR ALL. IN PERSON CLASS MTGS @ STEVENS OR SNOQUALMIE PASSES. ONLINE MTGS FRIDAYS 1/10; 2/7; 3/7 FROM 10AM-11:30AM. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND 3 OF 4 ON MOUNTAIN TRAININGS AT STEVENS OR SNOQUALMIE ON 12.07; 12.08; 12.14.12.15. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BE ON LOCATION AT STEVENS OR SNOQUALMIE PASSES 7 WEEKEND DAYS (SAT OR SUN) BETWEEN 01.03-03.02 FROM 8AM-3PM. OFF SNOW ROLES ARE AVAILABLE. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN SKI/ SNOWBOARD/CROSS-COUNTRY EQUIPMENT FOR INSTRUCTIONAL ROLES. SNOWSHOES PROVIDED. DEEPLY DISCOUNTED SEASON PASS TO SKI AREAS PROVIDED. DAILY LIFT TICKETS PROVIDED. TRANSPORTATION NOT PROVIDED.
Catalog Description:
Analyzes disability representations in literature, film, and other cultural texts; social science approaches to disability marginalization and empowerment; intersectionality of disability with other markers of diversity and identity. Offered: jointly with CHID 332/DIS ST 332; AWSpS.
