Kassie Seaton graduated from the Law, Society and Justice program in the spring of 2011 with a minor in Human Rights. As an undergrad she was accepted into the STEP program with the Department of Justice at the United States Attorney’s Office as a legal intern in both the civil and criminal divisions for two years. At the same time, she became particularly fascinated with Professor Osanloo’s class, “Human Rights Law in Culture and Practice” and discovered her passion for rights and access to justice. Upon graduation Kassie began volunteering with the King County Bar Association Pro Bono Services at their Eastside Neighborhood Legal Clinic providing assistance in sustaining justice for those who would otherwise be unable to obtain legal assistance. She is currently working at a law firm in Bellevue as a paralegal and is preparing to apply to law school with the ultimate goal of working with human rights issues.
